In November 2013, Churchdown residents Anne and Peter had to have their beloved greyhound Leo put to sleep.
It was due to the immense stress he suffered when hearing fireworks. His symptoms caused him to panic, dehydrate and reject food. Fireworks are no longer reserved for the 5th of November and can last on a nightly basis from Halloween for a further 3 to 4 weeks. There was no escape from the daily barrage for poor Leo and, together with the local vets, Anne and Peter thought it kinder to euthanise him rather than prolong his torment.
Leo was full of life, and although he disliked fireworks the intensity and frequency proved too much for him. Although this was an extreme case, many of us see our pet dogs and cats suffer at this time of year, not to mention those in kennels and catteries.
Churchdown Fireworks Extravaganza is proud to support Leos Legacy and where possible quieter fireworks are used. Leos Legacy was established to regulate the sale of Fireworks and encourage people to attend organised displays.
To bring you an E-Ticketing Service we need to use a third party payment processor. We are charged a percentage per transaction resulting in a small Service Fee being added.
£0.40 is applied to the final order subtotal, and is not charged per ticket. This is significantly cheaper compared to other local Fireworks Events.
It wouldn’t be an Extravaganza without a funfair! There will be rides for all ages along with food and drink stalls.
Beware of unauthorised ticket agencies (including eBay, Gumtree, Viagogo & Facebook). Action Fraud have some good advice on how to spot a fraudulent ticket and how to report it. Firework Extravaganza tickets are only available from churchdownfireworks.co.uk and from selected local outlets.
In line with our Terms & Conditions all purchases are final, tickets are non-refundable. We will however issue refunds in exceptional circumstances. Such requests are reviewed on a case by case basis and any refund will be issued up to 7 days after the event.
In the event of cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control, we will endeavour to reschedule the event. If unable to do so, we will issue a full refund.
No refunds will be offered to customers who are refused entry or ejected from the venue.

Look after yourself and those around you.
There are ample toilet facilities on site, these are adjacent to the Parish Council Building. We all know that event toilets can be a bit of an ordeal so please do your bit by leaving them, as you’d like to find them!
Please use the bins provided to dispose of all your rubbish. This massively helps the team of volunteers who have to attend the site in the early hours on Saturday Morning to complete a litter pick. Plenty of bins are provided around the site.
We warmly welcome visitors with disabilities to Churchdown Fireworks Extravaganza and toilet facilities are available. The site is accessible to wheelchair users and mobility scooters. Please be aware that there are some uneven surfaces and that the Firework Extravaganza can be crowded.
